Information we collect

• Account info: If you sign in, we store your email address, display name, and preferences (bot name, unit system, language).
• Content you create: Saved recipes, pantry items, and chat history you enter into Mr. Chef.
• Usage data: Anonymous analytics such as pages visited and feature usage to improve the product.
• Cookies & local storage: Used to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and cache recipe images.

How we use your information

• Provide, personalize, and improve the recipe recommendations.
• Sync your saved recipes and pantry across devices when signed in.
• Send recipe suggestions to our AI provider (Groq) to generate results.
• Diagnose bugs and improve performance.

Third-party services

We use trusted third parties: Supabase (authentication and database), Groq (AI recipe generation), TheMealDB and Pexels (recipe imagery), and Google OAuth (optional sign-in). Each processes only the data required to deliver their service.

Data retention

Account data is retained until you delete your account. Guest data (pantry, saved recipes) stays in your browser's local storage until you clear it.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing privacy@whatcanimakewith.app.

Children's privacy

WhatCanIMakeWith is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Material changes will be highlighted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
